For his part, the Iranian official appreciated the supports of Tunisia Culture Ministry for Iran’s cultural activities in Tunisia and talked about the Tunisia’s 1st cultural week in Iran, attended by Tunisian culture minister, as well as Iran’s 1st cultural week in Tunisia which was attended by Iranian Culture Minister Ali Jannati. The two parties enjoy great cultural ties; signing agreements on translation, publication, music, cinema, participating in different festivals as well as book fairs and exchange of cultural delegations can indeed be great examples of the MoUs.

More than 2,000 Persian terms exist in Tunisian local dialect which is a strong link in bilateral cultural ties. Tunisians are keen in learning Persian, currently being taught in the country’s universities and Iran’s cultural attaché office, which is a sign of deep historical relations, he noted.
